Hachioji, Tokyo, Japan｜Fuku-ume

This is a shop where you can take a virtual trip to Kanazawa. First, I ordered the seafood bowl. I enjoyed the firm sea bream and yellowtail dipped in Kanazawa soy sauce. The plump, juicy fish oozed out a rich flavor, and when I slurped up the vinegary rice, I had such a happy time that I thought I was in Kanazawa. Next time I would like to try the seasonal oyster bowl.

It's a beautiful restaurant with a nice atmosphere. Although there are private rooms available, it is more comfortable to enjoy Kanazawa cuisine at the counter seats for about 7 people. I look forward to it every time because the proprietress serves fresh seasonal Kanazawa ingredients. In particular, you can have sashimi and grilled black-throated fish with just one fish. Kanazawa's sake and shochu are also delicious, and the sake Tedorikawa is especially easy to drink. I end up drinking too much.
