Suginami City, Tokyo, Japan｜Sushi Kuni

My senior colleague at work took me to his favorite store. The counter seats about 10 people, and the interior is very warm with local regulars and a friendly owner. I went there not really hungry, but the fresh fish platter I ordered first whetted my appetite, and I ended up ordering nigiri one after another. Although it's a little far from the station, the restaurant was mostly full of regulars, so I was able to have a relaxing meal. The sushi was great, the owner was very personable, and it was a restaurant that I would want to go to again.

A sushi restaurant in town. The atmosphere is difficult to enter, but if you step through the noren curtain, you can enjoy your meal in peace. The owner, Mr. Kuni, is from Fukushima and is a soft-spoken person.
