We are looking for a home cooked meal experience in Japan and we were not disappointed. This shop gave us a very local vibe and even though both us and the owner are struggling with the language barrier, the orders were correctly placed. I enjoyed eating so much that it made so full that I could barely walk after leaving the shop. For the price, it’s affordable considering that it’s a legit local Japanese dining experience for us tourists.

A great traditional restaurant. The small in the size brings the taste of your home. I love the atmosphere in here, where the wife be the waitress and the husband do the cooking behind the curtain that seperates the cooking area and the dinning table. I tried shrimp and chicken tempura, both are not salty conpares to the majority of Japanese Foods I have tried. Definitely comes back again.

I had a mixed lunch set for 780 yen + a large serving of rice for 80 yen. There were 3 types of side dishes + a few extras, shredded cabbage and spaghetti as an accompaniment were piled on the main plate, and pork soup was included as a soup. The assortment of platters seems to be recommended for the day, but this time I had minced meat cutlet, scallop cream croquette, grilled pork with ginger, and the bonus was a small fried chicken. The sauce was delicious, and the rice was seasoned well so I could eat it thoroughly. It was very delicious. The couple seemed to be in charge of the cooking and serving, and although they were busy, there was a warm atmosphere that made you feel calm just by listening to their interactions. The food took a while to be served, but some tables seemed to come very quickly, so I guess it was just when a lot of orders were coming in. It was a very nice shop that I would like to visit again and again while I'm nearby. Highly recommended.
