More Comments at Google MapExceptional. Hidden but definitely great soba place. Ordering is through ticketing system, so it is not difficult even if one doesn't speak Japanese. Soba is cheap around 500 - 800 yen, portion is not a lot. Texture and flavour are very well. Tempura is fried within few minutes.
Hidden Gem in the area I really like this place. You can eat a very decent soba for 550JPY & can enjoy the lovely combination of Yuzu and Soy sauce and dashi. There are only counter seats so you can watch the Taisho make soba. If you like noodles in general and your stomach can't stand the greasiness of ramen, this is definitely the place to go.
2022/08/09 Store visit From the south exit of Otsuka Station, go west along the Sakura Tram tracks and turn left at the alley that is slightly uphill (look for the side dish shop with a long line). Then, you will see ``Mito-an'' on the right side of the alley. A friend who was traveling with me recommended the ``Tendon Set,'' so I bought a ``Normal'' ticket (780 EN) ← The ticket vending machine says ``EN'' instead of yen. This also feels kind of chic. When you open the sliding door, there are about 7 round chairs at the L-shaped counter. It is partitioned with acrylic plates. While boiling the raw noodles, quickly fry the tempura. The dish that my husband offered me was like, ``Here we go!''...I truly saw the essence of an uncompromising craftsman. The soba noodles are thin, knife-cut noodles that have a firm texture, but when you dip them in the soup, they go down easily. I like it to be fully submerged in the soup, about 80% of the time. Tendon, on the other hand, is light white rice topped with shrimp tempura, pumpkin tempura, and green pepper tempura (the tempura seems to change daily), and is gradually soaked in tempura sauce. The quality of this soup is also perfect, as it doesn't become too soupy. Finally, I poured some of the soup into an empty bowl, mixed it with some soba hot water, and had a quick drink ♫ It was an impressive meal.
