Thank the Lords of instagram algorithms that led to my discovery of Sushikuni. This was the BEST MEAL we had in Japan. the uni (sea urchin) and ikura on a bed of sushi rice was just pure bliss! counting the days we come back to Sushikuni again. we were so so lucky to be able to get a seat without reservation (first customers of the evening!)

This restaurant has been in my list a place to eat when visiting Japan. We, a group of 4, went there about 9:30 AM and had already had a long queue of people. The restaurant itself is small and the waiting process is quick. I ordered the famous dish, rice bowl with uni and I tell you that this is one of the best uni that I ever eat. We also ordered a chirashi bowl and they are good also. The food overall was great. The only complain that I had is you can only order the food once and cannot reorder item. The food was delicious. The service was great also and fast. With the amount of food we have, the food considered cheap. The food was fresh and yummy. Update: after 2 weeks and back the line still the same, at 8:30 no one, the queue started getting longer at 9:00. This time, i ordered all uni bowl insteaf of half fish roe.

"CHU-TORO is incredibly delicious; its fat is very rich and velvety, and it has a delightful texture. Surprisingly, it's even more delicious than the OTORO I had in Taiwan. The prices here are quite affordable, probably less than half of what you'd pay in Taiwan for food of the same quality. The sea urchin topped rice is incredibly tasty, although a single bowl can be a bit much to finish. Towards the end, it can feel quite greasy. The sea urchin is truly like creamy butter on the palate, melting in your mouth. However, when I went around noon, I had to wait in line for about 20 to 30 minutes. Closer to 1 pm, there were hardly any people. If anyone plans to visit, you can take note of this."
