Chuo City, Tokyo, Japan｜Hinoya Curry

A great katsu curry restaurant. Order from the vending machine then you will be seated. Very busy at lunchtime with businessmen and businesswomen having lunch. Really nice and helpful staff. The curry was much better than the other examples we have eaten in Japan. Really delicious depths of flavour. Generous portion sizes (you will be asked if regular sized rice is OK or a large portion, I chose regular portion and it was huge). We were surprised to later learn that this was a chain as it did not feel like one at all. The staff clearly took pride in their work. This would be a regular haunt if we lived nearby.

Great curry shop. The flavor is a good mix of sweet and spicy. You order from a vending machine and then give your ticket to the cook. Better experience than the other typical curry chains you find in Tokyo. Katsu Curry was about 850 yen and a massive portion. Go hungry and leave happy.

It was delicious ♪ There were few customers because I entered the store just before noon on a weekday, but as it approached 12 o'clock, it was full. I used a generous amount of eggplant curry for 7 minutes and added one more spiciness, but it might have been better if I added more spiciness. Certainly, it felt like the spiciness was mild afterwards, but I felt unsatisfactory as I love super spicy.
