More Comments at Google MapSuperb oyakodon! The chicken has quite bite to it and holds so much smoky flavour! The egg topping is silky, rich, and has a lot of the tare flavour. The rice is glistening, and cooked to perfection, well suited to be the medium of the other ingredients! There’re a lot of other choices in their menu and serves well as a place for drinks. Not to mention that the food is reasonably priced. Be prepared to use some google translate and pointing to pictures of food as they don’t have an english menu.
Absolutely delicious flavors with a great selection of alcoholic drinks. The chicken bowls and sets in general are both delicious and very affordable! Everything here tastes really good, including a simple dish like their miso soup. Very flavorful and the staff are very friendly. Come in, have a seat, and enjoy the atmosphere.
Visited for dinner after reading a few reviews mentioning the izakaya’s unique take on the popular dish, Oyakodon. The chargrilled chicken is served separate to the egg which allows you to appreciate the chicken’s full flavour. I found the portion size just right - even at dinner the main dish came with salad and miso soup. Unlike many other izakaya, there was no one drink policy or “otoshi” (mini-starter like item that is equal to a cover charge) The ambience in the izakaya was vibrant, being the first weekday night after the state of emergency. To protect against COVID, there was plenty space between seats and the counter seats had dividers between each neighbouring seat. Value for money was reasonable, even at night. Staff were also attentive and made sure that they served you quickly, which was appreciated. In summary, recommend if you fancy a unique take on oyakodon.
