Chiyoda City, Tokyo, Japan｜Stand Hero Suidobashi

I've spent 14 days in Tokyo so far, and eaten at a variety of great restaurants every day, and the food here is by far the best I've tasted! I walked past this bustling little shop a couple of times on the way home from the train, and finally had the opportunity to eat here. The friendly waiter suggested sashimi, potato salad and fried chicken (since I couldn't read the menu) and I wasn't sure what to expect. The Madai sashimi was super fresh and paired with an Oba leaf (I might have the names wrong), wasabi and radish, and the combination was perfect. The potato salad had a chewiness to it (from pasta and egg?) that I've never experienced before, but was exactly right. I can't pinpoint the other flavours in it, but they were delicious. The fried chicken's skin tasted like pork crackling, and blew my mind. This was paired with good beer and an outstanding atmosphere. I thought that I might have unwittingly wandered into a Michelin star restaurant, yet the bill was cheaper than other restaurants which, while good, could not measure up to what I had here. Before I leave, I want to go again to sample what else they have to offer at this little gem :) all of the staff here should be proud, please keep up the great work!

It was delicious! Everything I tried was super good! I will go again. Be aware that is all in Japanese, so I recommend going with someone who can speak and read Japanese as the menu change depending on what's available.

A Reasonable Standing Izakaya place. I used to come to this place before spreading Covid-19. I love the place. I especially love their fish, super fresh!
