Meguro City, Tokyo, Japan｜Sugahara Pho

The pho was really nice. The broth was light and tasty and the chicken was really soft. The Vietnamese pudding for dessert was also delicious. The owner also speaks English and provided good hospitality. For vegetarians options are less but there still is some.

Sophisticated Vietnamese and natural wines, what else? Not so close to the train stations, maybe 10+ min on foot from Shinsen or Ikejiri-Ohashi station, or just take taxi🚕 from Shibuya! Their dishes are slightly contemporary Vietnamese, not too innovative, but really balanced ones. For first comers, you shouldn’t miss Egoma Delight, one of their signature dishes. Also, if you are a natural wine lover, this restaurant is absolutely a right choice. Please ask anything to the owner Sugahara-san on your favorite glass or bottle, he must suggest something interesting to you. Lastly, just in case, let me mention about billing,basically they don’t accept credit card😉, enjoy!

We had lunch here but will definitely be back for dinner too. Surprisingly good wine selection and the menu has a great selection of traditional Vietnamese dishes.
