A few minutes from JR Ogikubo Station. A store in front of Ogikubo Hakusan Shrine. The exterior looks like a tonkatsu restaurant in town. The interior is neat and clean. Tonkatsu Conference Hall of Fame store My favorite tonkatsu restaurant. Pork cutlet set meal ¥1,650. Can be ordered for lunch or dinner. Served in about 10 minutes. Rice, homemade pickles, and pork soup. The pork cutlets are cross-cut and can be eaten in bite-sized pieces. There is also plenty of shredded cabbage. There's tonkatsu sauce, sauce, salt, and mustard, but you can eat this cutlet without adding anything. When you bite into the pork, the sweet aroma of lard spreads over it, and it's a real treat. The side lineup is also perfect! Delicious rice, plenty of homemade pickles, and the pork roe served with miso dissolved in each order is piping hot and loaded with vegetables! A wonderful balance for a tonkatsu set meal. I make the batter for the tonkatsu myself by letting the bread sit. Crispy texture, not too fine or coarse. There are better restaurants in terms of meat quality, thickness, and fat, but as a tonkatsu set meal, the balance is perfect! If I lived in the neighborhood, I would want to go there every day! The elderly husband seems to be less likely to be at the frying area these days, and his son is doing more of the frying. The delicious tonkatsu remains the same. It's been a while since I last visited, but this time I had the best tonkatsu! Thank you for the meal!

A tonkatsu restaurant located about a 5-minute walk from Ogikubo Station. The tonkatsu was well drained of oil and the batter was crispy and delicious. The tonkatsu itself is properly seasoned with salt, so you can eat it as it is. Pickles also have a strong flavor, so tonkatsu and pickles go well with rice.

I came to the store around 12 o'clock on the weekend and was able to enter without waiting. The interior of the restaurant is small with 5 seats at the counter, 2 tables for 4 people, and 2 tables for 2 people. When we arrived, the tables were occupied, but the turnover rate was quick, probably because many locals were there for lunch. I ordered the standard pork cutlet. The cutlet is soft and the fatty part is not too sticky, so you can eat it easily. Personally, I’m happy with pork soup with lots of ingredients 😊 I think a set of pickles, cabbage, and rice for 1,000 yen is a good value for money✨Top loin on the dinner menu? I'm also interested in it, so I would like to come again if I have a chance.
