More Comments at Google MapIf you like fish based (Niiboshi 煮干し) soup stock, this place is for you. There are different taishokens, but I feel this is the best one. If you like the more thick pork based ramen, this may not be your shop. The ramen comes with thick tasty chashu. You can choose your ramen thickness and the portion size for the green onion. The regular size ramen is more than enough, but if you are feeling super hungry you can get the large bowl for a few extra yens. There usually is a massive line during lunch so get there a little early and be ready to wait outside.
Delicious
Although it was hot, I visited for lunch on Saturday. The store opened at 11am, but when I arrived 40 minutes before opening, there were already about 5 people waiting. Parasols were provided, so as I was lining up to use them, people kept lining up for about 20 minutes, and then I was guided inside the store before it opened. There were table seats and counter seats, but they filled up quickly. I ordered the summer-only hiyashi chuka and menma ramen, and the hiyashi chuka was delicious with plenty of toppings and standard sourness and seasoning. I was torn between choosing pork ramen for menma ramen, but the menma seemed to be the selling point, so I went for that. It was also delicious with the chewy menma that went well with the soup. Overall, it was light, but had a deep flavor, and I felt that it was a highly complete ramen.
