I’ve been coming here since I was a kid so perhaps my review is a bit biased. But if you would like to try an old school type of ramen, come and eat here. There’s no gimmicks. No fancy decor. Just plain old delicious ramen. I like their noodles that it’s a bit on the thicker side and chewy. I’m not really fond of tonkotsu (pork) broth because I find it too fatty/oily so this type of broth suits my palate very well. I always order the chāshūmen (ramen with char siu or pork slices) with extra menma (bamboo shoots). Seriously, I can eat their menma alone because it’s that tasty. This place has limited seats so sometimes you have to share half of your table to strangers but this is not an uncommon practice in Japan. They also do takeouts, thus, whenever I eat here, I always order few takeouts so that I can continue my little bundle of food joy at home as well. Haha! As like with many Asians, when you’re feeling stressed with life, go get some food with a soup. It will heal your soul. And I definitely recommend this place for it! Even though I’m no longer living in Japan, I still visit this place whenever I go back to the country. I even ask my family to bring me some takeouts to the country where I now live. Yes, I love this place that much — it’s basically my second home. 🍜💛

I would like you to pay attention to the presence of the menma, which turns black and has a strong taste, and is never salty. I wonder if they use dried menma back. Anyway, Menma is delicious. The order is menma ramen.

5 stars without complaint. The moment I ate it, I felt, "Noo...it's delicious...". "Marushin Chinese soba shop". A long-established ramen shop in Ogikubo. Founded in 1951, it has a history of 72 years (as of 2023, according to the store clerk). It's long. wonderful. The interior of the store is a nostalgic world of Moro Showa. The order is wonton noodles 830 yen. Oh no ~ it's delicious. No matter how you look at it, it's delicious. The 3.9 star rating is strange. It's 4 stars or more. No matter what you think. The soup is a clear soup with dried sardines and bushi. It tastes great. At the end, I put chili peppers on the counter and if the taste changes, chili peppers go well. It turns into a delicious Japanese soba taste. The noodles are medium-thick and have a springy, chewy, chewy texture. It is very good that this texture is kept until the end without stretching. The char siu is about the size of a medium version and is super guinea. It melts the moment you put it in your mouth. wonderful. Char siu wonton noodles might be good. (But I wonder if char siu wonton noodles are not on the menu?) Wonton contains 7 large pieces. The skin is turu turu, and the contents are minced meat. It is quite filling. delicious. wonderful. After that, seaweed, spinach and sinachiku. No ~ I entered by improvisation, but it was a cup of great satisfaction. Will definitely repeat. Ramen for adults. In fact, if you look around the store, there are only people over 50 years old. I'm sure everyone saw it as a regular customer for decades. good. Oh... maybe if you make a large serving of wonton noodles or wonton pork noodles... be careful as it will be quite filling. (Because 7 wontons are hearty)
