More Comments at Google MapSince it was Friday and I didn't have any meetings, I headed to Edo Yu, a public bath spa in Ryogoku that has a co-working space, and then to Kichijoji Musashiya, which recently opened in Ryogoku, soaking wet from the rain during the typhoon. I lived in Kichijoji more than 12 years ago when I was a student, and I used to go to Musashiya almost all the time, so I came to the store at 11:30, feeling a little nervous as if I was meeting an old friend for the first time in a while. There are three people working in the kitchen, but perhaps because of the typhoon, there was only one customer in the store when I entered. As I looked around at the easy-to-understand ticket vending machine lined with beautiful photos, a photo of ``Musajiro'' (880 yen) caught my eye. I was a little hesitant, but resisted temptation and chose ``Ramen (730 yen)'' and ``Lunch set (180 yen).'' The lunch set comes with rice, seasoned egg, and cabbage for only 180 yen. I ordered a strong flavor, a lot of oil, and firm noodles, handed over my meal ticket, served myself some self-service rice, and sat down to enjoy myself. The cabbage and seasoned eggs appeared in a few minutes. This is the taste of nostalgic cabbage. Needless to say, the chashu and cabbage, which are fully soaked with the flavors of soy sauce and garlic, are exquisite. As I was immersed in excitement, it wasn't long before I had a bowl of ramen. It came with three pieces of nori, the obligatory spinach, a piece of chashu, and plenty of chicken oil floating in it, so I couldn't stop drooling. I was surprised when I took a sip of the soup. It is overwhelmingly richer than the Musashi family in my memory. The crushed pork bones have been simmered for quite some time, and the soup has a very grainy texture, and the combination of the chicken oil makes it very delicious. The char siu has no fat at all and has a great texture, but it's also flavorful and delicious. The boiled eggs are also excellent. The spinach is also soaked in the soup and served over white rice. Of course, soaking the nori in the soup and wrapping it in white rice will give you a sense of happiness. The noodles are also great, with a chewy texture that clings well to the soup, giving it a typical Musashiya feel. At the end, I poured the soup over the rice, shoveled it into my mouth, and finished the meal. I was surprised that the taste was more like crushed pork bones than I remembered. And it has exceeded my memory. However, if I had to make a strong point, it's quite rich to begin with, so next time I'd like to order the ``normal'' instead of the ajikome. Or should I order "Musajiro" next time? I'm really looking forward to my next visit to the store, even though I'm fighting off my hesitation about luxury.
Kichijoji Musashiya is a 2-minute walk from the A5 exit of Ryogoku Subway Station. 2021.4.19 pre-opening, 4.21 grand opening. This time I ordered ramen (730 yen) and rice (100 yen). Water and rice were self-service, and rice was free to refill! There was also a lunch set (180 yen) with a bowl of rice, cabbage, and a flavored egg! The ramen was simple Iekei ramen and it was delicious! Rice and rice are delicious, and I can't help but go! The customer service is polite and it is a shop that I definitely want to visit again!
Ever since Jusanke moved from Kuramae, For the first time in a long time, I felt the taste of Rokkaku in my neighborhood. Previously, when I visited once just after the opening of the spring, It tasted milder and lighter than I expected. But when I taste it again after a long time, I think the soup had more depth and strength than at that time. I also had rice, but it was cooked just right, Even when dipped in soup, it goes well with firm seaweed. Thank you for coming to Ryogoku in this day and age. [What I ate] Ramen (all normal) 730 yen Free refill rice 100 yen
