More Comments at Google MapI explored Akihabara on my own for the day and searched for a good place for food. I came across this and when I found the place I saw it already had a long line waiting. A random guy ended up helping me with my choice of food and making me comfortable since at the time I was the only foreigner there! The owner of the restaurant made sure I was okay by coming over occasionally with translations on his phone which really made me feel content. Although I ordered a random dish I was not disappointed! The meal size was incredible and the tastes were amazing. I unfortunately had to leave some since I have a small stomach but I definitely hope to visit again my next trip! Thank you to the staff for the great meal, the owner for giving the best hospitality and the random guy for his warm kindness and help! <3
Visited on a Wednesday around 3:15pm. Ordered... 1) Chashu Ramen (3 slices) 2) Tri-color rice bowl (Chashu, kimchi, egg) This might seem like an intimidating ramen place at first, but just treat it like any other place. They have a "fastpass" system so those people are prioritized first, and then everyone is let in depending on empty seats. I think you come get the fastpass first, and then come back at the indicated time. Good for when you have things planned out ahead of time. In terms of the food, these kinds of shops are always interesting. You customize the texture of the noodles, amount of oil, and strength of the taste when you give your ticket. It's definitely heavy and salty, but in a good way. I was surprised by how refreshing it could feel even though I know it's a sodium bomb. You definitely need to get one of the rice bowls in my opinion. I know it's a ramen place, but the rice bowls complete the experience. There's tons of toppings on the side, like their special garlic topping, pickled ginger, yuzu kosho, mayo, etc. Come hungry and ready to eat.
One of the best I've ever had
