Oh man is this place good! Line at open on a weekday was about 15 people deep. Inside seats 10-12. The inside smells like dried fish (duh). Menu format: 1. Standard tanrei-style ramen made from variety of small fish 2. Special (銀) tanrei-style made from rotating "premium" fish (on my visit, was a few types of kinmedai) 3. Standard noko-style niboshi ramen (nibopresso) 4. Special noko-style ramen made from unique fish - The うずら (quail eggs) taste like they are cured in some fish stock. Get these! - Anywhere from 2-4 types of extra noodle (和え玉). These can be eaten as mazemen, but also a good idea to save broth and add these to create a new flavor. These are usually some type of seafood mousse/miso. I went with the tanrei-style kinme special (limited to 10 bowls). While it had strong fish flavor, it was not bitter and actually had a ton of natural sweetness and fish oils in it. Went with ankimo/green onion kaedama. Both were basically mind blowing for me. Will absolutely be back here to try more.

Went to niboshimania on a weekday about 20 minutes before opening and was the second seating. Ordered the nibo presso, which is super thick and creamy and has extra niboshi in the broth. The bowl was not overly bitter at all which can be a characteristic of some niboshi bowls, and also ordered the curry shrimp noodles. The curry shrimp was nicely spicy and helped transition the palate away from the rich and heavy niboshi bowl. Highly recommended for fans of niboshi or people who love a heavy anchovy flavor. The curry shrimp noodles were also great to finish off the lunch for me. Half portions are also available.

Kamata is located less than 5 minutes walk from the Tokyu side exit. There were 13 people in line regardless of whether it was connected at 2pm on Sunday and the restaurant closed at 3pm or until they ran out of soup. There were about 10 people right behind me. I was able to get in the store surprisingly quickly, and after about 30 minutes, I was prompted to buy a ticket and was given a detailed explanation of the dressing. The cute store clerk frequently comes out to check on the number of people and guide customers to purchase ticket tickets. I'm sure it's thanks to this person that the flow is so good. I purchased Nibo Presso and Mare B Scallops. I forgot to ask for quail. The store has 4 seats at the kitchen counter and 5 seats at the wall counter. It wasn't long after we were seated that the rice bowl was served. The noodles have a nice texture and are firm and thin, lifting the soup well. You can feel the assertiveness of the noodles even more when they are mixed with aedama. Mix it well and enjoy it.It's also delicious with soup. Next time I'll challenge it to a limited edition. By the time I left the store, there were 21 people waiting. It doesn't matter that it's 5 minutes before closing.
