I visited Akebono Shokudo, located in Tsukushino, Abiko City, Chiba Prefecture, about a 13-minute walk from the north exit of Abiko Station on the JR Joban Line. I received the "Yakiniku set meal" for 1000 yen. The noren curtain had been put up a little before the store opened, so I arrived before 11am and there were no other customers. You can enjoy cold and hot tea in high sour glasses. There are 5 table seats and 3 raised seats. "Yakiniku set meal" When you order, you will be asked if you want mayonnaise, and you will receive a large commercial-sized mayonnaise. "Grilled meat" Small pieces of pork are stir-fried with onions, carrots, chives, sesame seeds, etc. in a sweet soy sauce-based sauce, and the garlic is also delicious. "Rice, miso soup, small bowl" A large bowl of rice is served. Miso soup contains plenty of cabbage, fried tofu, and tofu. In a small bowl, you can have lightly pickled cucumber and takuan. "thoughts" After I ate about half of the heavily seasoned ``Yakiniku'', I added mayonnaise to increase the richness and the rice went even further, so it was delicious. Although it is a small restaurant, the appearance, tables, and chairs inside the restaurant have an atmosphere reminiscent of the good old Showa era, so you can enjoy your meal in a relaxed manner. The staff also responded in a nice manner. There are many colored papers signed by famous people such as So Takei, who has a connection with Akebono Shokudo. Thank you for the meal.

On a weekday in January 2023, I visited immediately after opening, but there was already a group of customers. Ordered a yakiniku set meal. It's simple but nostalgic with a gentle seasoning that's neither thick nor thin. Excellent compatibility with white rice! Many of the customers who came later also ordered the yakiniku set meal. Some people ate it with mayonnaise, and it looked very delicious, so I thought I'd try it myself next time. Everyone in the shop was very attentive, and when it was bright again, they gave me candy and saw me off with a smile many times. It was a very comfortable dining room as well as the taste of the meal.
