Kokubunji, Tokyo, Japan｜Gambrinus

One of the older Craft Beer bars in Tokyo. A little out of the way for those in Central Tokyo (about 20 mins on the Chuo line from Shinjuku), but a very solid beer bar. 13 Taps of the best Japanese made craft beer, with occasional international offerings. Gambrinus is slightly upscale (in a good way, not pretentious), and non-smoking. The food menu is also very solid, and the owners wife bakes a "cake of the week," that is always amazing. One of my favorites.

Great local beer bar with many interesting craft beers. Don't be intimidated by frequent visitors. Cash-on delivery style.
