More Comments at Google MapA memorable soba noodle meal with delicious tempura and a buckwheat dessert crepe. We loved the modern, classy decor and the hospitality and kindness of the owners. Dinner (only on the weekend) is recommended. Try the three different kinds of soba made with different buckwheat from regions in Japan. Pictures are on the menu for easy ordering for non Japanese patrons!
On the way back from Tokyo Summerland, I gave up at the restaurant in the park because of the long line. Search on Google maps 🔍 This soba restaurant nearby is a hit. It was in a quiet place off a wide road and down an alley. It was close to closing time, but not only did he not look really disgusting, but he was a wonderful customer 😀 What I received was soba noodles. Instead of eating it with wasabi soy sauce, it is served with ankake. It also contains buckwheat seeds, and the fragrant and crunchy texture of the buckwheat is exquisite. Not only the soba, but also the shaved ice is made with natural ice from Nikko! It was so fluffy that I didn't get a headache, and it was delicious. Above all, the owner is enthusiastic about research and seems to have been addicted to kimchi when I visited. He served kimchi in a cute small bowl to taste, but I was also able to enjoy delicious kimchi that was not only spicy but had a deep taste. After completing the questionnaire at the end, I received a small bottle as a gift. It was dried bonito and kombu tsukudani, which was made with soup stock every day. I definitely want to visit this shop again
I received a special birthday invitation from Kiryuan. The expiry date was until the end of November, so I visited with my family on Labor Day. I called the day before to make a reservation, but I couldn't get through. Apparently it was a regular holiday. When I looked at the website, I saw that it was possible to make a reservation via LINE, so I filled out the requirements and sent it. I called after 10 o'clock that day to confirm. It was OK. I had a reservation at 1pm, so I called my daughter and headed out in her car. I ordered Horokanai soba with soy sauce dipping sauce and extra-large conger eel tempura. Soba was called new soba. It has the scent of soba and is very delicious. The conger eel tempura was also large and I first ate it with rock salt. After that, I had it with Tentsuyu. The tempura batter is crispy and the conger eel meat is soft and delicious.
