Hidaka, Saitama, Japan｜Restaurant Saiboku

Today we visited Saiboku and had our lunch at the restaurant. Saiboku is famous with its sausage and pork meats. We had tried its BBQ few years back, today we decided to dine at its restaurant. We found their sausage and tonkatsu and their pork chop are really delicious. Above my expectation, and highly recommend to visit this place for tonkatsu and sausage fans. Bonus, there’s a very nice onsen a few minutes walk away, another top class onsen with true zen feel.

I went to Saiboku, which I had always wanted to go to. I expected it to be crowded due to the three-day weekend, but it wasn't crowded after 9am, but by lunchtime both the restaurant and the shops were extremely crowded. I had the impression that it would be easier to eat and drink at the shop from the time they open until after 10am, so next time I'll try the shop and the freshly fried croquettes! I got the 18th numbered ticket at the restaurant around 10:00, and actually entered the restaurant at 11:45 as it opened at 11:00, but by the time I left, the waiting time was 140 minutes. It was (sweat) I ate the tonkatsu, which had a lot of reviews, and the pork was sweet, tender, and very delicious.They also have children's lunches, side menus, and child chairs, so it's a great place for families to come.

After 3:00 pm on Sunday, I entered the store for the first time in several years. As for the food, the pork is really high quality, and I appreciate the salad with plenty of dressing. It was less than 3,000 yen per person for a full meal for 3 adults, so it is more satisfying than going to a strange all-you-can-eat yakiniku restaurant. Overall, the rating is about 4 stars, but the young male clerk's response when the dressing was spilled was a rare god response, so it was promoted to 5 stars. It's a little far from my home, but I will repeat if I want to eat delicious pork.
