I went there around 13:00 on a holiday, but maybe because it was a rainy day, it wasn't crowded and I was able to eat slowly. It is a shop where you buy a meal ticket and place an order. There is a standing counter, but there are also table seats and counter seats, so I think it's for people who want to eat casually. I don't know if all of the tempura is included, but 2 kashiwa tempura and 2 pumpkins are provided! (I was surprised because I ordered 2 types, thinking they were 1 each 😂)
This soba restaurant is located along Aoyama Street from Gaienmae Station. It was originally Matsuya. There are about 6 standing seats, and there are counter seats for 1 person and some seats for 2 to 4 people. Although it is reasonably priced, it is a trendy soba restaurant with noren and crests in the interior, making it easy for foreigners and female customers to enter. I always eat "cold soba with raw seaweed" and sometimes "hot soba with raw seaweed". In addition, toppings such as maitake mushroom tempura, wakame seaweed, and raw egg are added. Special mention should be made of raw seaweed tempura. It's a tempura made with raw seaweed and onions, and the scent of the raw seaweed on top of the soba noodles fills your nostrils with the scent of the ocean, whetting your appetite. The shichimi served on the table is "Yagenbori shichimi", which is mildly spicy, and has rich flavors such as chili pepper, white sesame, Japanese pepper, chili pepper, and poppy seeds. It's a neat gesture. Please stop by when you are in the Aoyama area.
