I have been on a soba streak these past few days, and I have yet to eat bad soba. To be honest, soba is not the fanciest nor the most amazing food you will ever eat, but it tastes really good and just leaves you satisfied for a long time, without having cravings after an hour and without feeling bad for having eaten it. Among the sobas I have tried so far, this one is the best. I am no noodle connoisseur, so the main part for me is the dipping sauce. And although I like the classic sauce, this one had some extra tororo in it (I could not for the love of god figure out what exactly it is, the locals were unable to translate it either, but it's something like grated potato) and it was great. The owners were really nice and helpful, and the atmosphere was quite pleasant. I highly recommend checking it out if you are in the area!

Today I went to Tanakaya in Higashi-Nagasaki to try some soba for the first time in a while. This is a rather small shop with 4 table seats and 2 raised tables. It was after 12:30, but there were only two customers in front of us. As usual, we started with bottled beer. The only snacks are crispy fried tofu. is. As a drink refill, I took the opportunity to order 460 yen of soba shochu mixed with soba hot water. The set included a glass, a 100ml small bottle of shochu, and soba-yu. The good thing about it is that you can drink it at the strength you like. I drank it in three separate doses. When I reach my last drink, I order lunch. My friend ordered the katsudon set, and I ordered the large duck bamboo shoot for 200 yen more. The soba noodles were Sarashina type noodles. There was also duck meat of various sizes.

I always get delivery here. 🚲️🍜 The menu is extensive and everything is delicious. There is my daughter's favorite squeaky noodles. I went to have lunch with my wife today. It was a very happy time😁✨✨
