Good duck soba seiro / set. Most surprising was the homemade tamagoyaki. Very fresh and delicate, and a bigger portion than shown in the photos. In fact, this may be the one of the best Japanese omelettes I've ever had at any restaurant. The perfect temperature definitely helped. Will try a tempura set if I stop by again

Lovely little restaurant that you have to go down the stairs to find, it’s near Ikebukuro station. There was no line and it was relatively quiet and peaceful inside. The cold soba & tempura we had was really good.

An authentic handmade soba restaurant that mills domestically produced soba noodles in the store's stone mill. The Enou Tenseiro I ordered means oshidori, and is a combination of seiro and coarsely ground rice. The bamboo steamer has a firm texture, a thick texture, and a wild taste that you can enjoy directly. If you are satisfied with the bamboo steamer, the coarse grinding comes with an even stronger and wilder finish. If you eat it with salt as recommended by the shop staff, you can truly feel the sweetness of the soba itself. No, this is delicious! Although there are only a few tempura items in the set, the moist and gentle batter creates an exquisite finish. I never thought I could eat such authentic soba near Ikebukuro Station! 1,800 yen (Torutaka Tenseiro, average) +350 yen (large size)
