Chuo City, Tokyo, Japan｜Sasaki

Came here as our last meal in Japan after travelling around for 2 weeks, and was only looking for somewhere convenient given this was a 1-minute walk from our hotel. However, this restaurant beyond exceeded our expectations!! We got 2 shabu-shabu sets (comes with appetizers, meat, vegs, sides, and dessert), 1 sukiyaki set, along with some sides like beef tongue. The beef was so well marbled and extremely tasty after a little hot bath in the pot. The little tonkatsu was so tender and nicely fried. From the vegetables to the meats to the dessert, everything was prepared with so much care. The service was also one of the best we experienced in Japan (and definitely the best in Tokyo). Even though there was a big language barrier, they were extremely sweet, polite, and kind and tried their best using a combination of hand gestures and Google Translate (as did we). We got there fairly early so it was quiet but many locals trickled in throughout the evening, so we could tell that this is not a tourist trap. Our meal for 3 people came out to be ~150 USD, and we will gladly return for a second helping if we had stayed in Tokyo for longer! Their lunch menu looked very affordable and wish we were able to give that a try. Thanks so much for a memorable last meal in Japan!

I had a dinner course. I ate it with my group and didn't have any pictures, but all the food that came out was delicious. It's not worth the price, but it's good for business entertaining.
