one of my best memory of Japan: Teuchisoba Narutomi Ginza 手打ち 蕎麦 成冨 銀座店. It took me 55mn to get in, but it was def worth it! The food is delicious, real pieces of art. The boss is treating every meal with so much respect of the ingredients he’s cooking, and with very precise gestures that even watching that was a real pleasure. I meet a local girl who became a friend for the lunch time, sharing a beautiful meal to discover this place specialities. Tempuras and soba were the best I had in Japan. This was an experience I’ll never forget for sure 😍🤩😋

Got there just after they opened up on a weekday and were seated quickly. Note: my wife and I don't speak Japanese at all however we're Asian. We said very little and didn't ask the waitress if she spoke english. The restaurant might turn away non-Japanese speakers because they speak little or no english or don't have time to translate every item on the menu for you. Also, they probably don't want to to order something without knowing what it is and risk you not liking it. After looking at the menu (all in Japanese) we showed the waitress what we wanted by pointing at pictures on the restaurant's google review page. The waitress was polite and pointed at the corresponding item on the menu to make sure we were ok with the price (also in Japanese). We both got cold soba with different types of tempura, some sliced duck and what turned out to be grilled miso paste. Food took a while to come out but understandable given how well prepared the dishes were. We weren't too sure what to do with the grilled miso. We ate a little bit and put it in our soba. Everything was pretty tasty. The restaurant itself is decently sized with a mixture of counter and table seating. Understated decor. Sitting there, we felt like this was a very local place. Had a great adventure there and would love to try more dishes. A little advice: doing some prep/homework goes a long way.

A gem for a soba experience. Requires a familiar known customer to get a booking. Does not accept walk ins even the restaurant may not be filled.
