More Comments at Google MapThis is one of the most interesting soba restaurants that I have visited. Not only is it the least expensive restaurant that I have seen in Tokyo so far, but it also offers an incredibly unique dining experience of ordering, getting the food within a minute or two, and then eating it outside in front of the restaurant because there is only room for one standing customer inside. This exciting experience is precisely what makes me love this place. You get excellent value for your money regular serving sizes of almost everything on the menu cost just around 400 JPY. This is cheaper than most fast-food chains, and it's still very close to the centre of Tokyo. If you're in the neighbourhood when this place is open (and maybe when it's not raining), make sure to give it a try because it is an excellent place for a quick bite.
This is THE typical japanese experience in a small but authentic shop (60+ years old). Truck drivers are literally stopping along the road to get their bowl of soba there! Quite perfect for a quick snack before attacking a day of visit around Tokyo. I recommend you also get some boiled eggs with it, it is the perfect match.
A small stand-up noodle shop with mainly male crowd in the early morning. Hot, soy-based broth pairing tempura is really comforting in a chilled winter morning.
