Couldn’t order the tempura due to shellfish allergy so I opted for the cold soba with seaweed. Enjoyed this meal so much more than I thought I would. So simple yet so immensely satisfying. Pour the soba water into your dipping sauce for the most delicious soup to finish up the meal. And I love the cozy environment. Definitely one of my most memorable meals in Tokyo.

Sweet traditional soba place close to the Kaminarimon. There is usually a big line but it goes fast. The menu is simple, 2.000¥ for tempura soba lunch set or only 850¥ for just soba. Food is delicious, would actually enjoy slightly larger portion, which is unusual for me. Will definitely come back, the staff is very nice.

A really nice soba place next to the sensoji temple. I always order their cold soba with tempura as it is my favourite. Crunchiness of the tempura is on point and goes very well with the cold soba noodles. At the end of your meal, you can pour the soba noodle water they serve you into the soy sauce dipping sauce and it becomes a very delicious soup that tastes like dashi broth. We also tried their hot soba noodles with duck. The soup flavour is clear but rich and it comes with a very nice juicy duck meatballs. It’s worth trying if you like duck.
