More Comments at Google MapCan highly recommend! The food was extremely delicious, I can not remember when I ate something so good for a long time, plus the prices are reasonable as well! We are also foreigners and can not speak Japanese, but the waitress and the chef were extremely friendly and helpful. If you come by this area you have to try this restaurant!
You have to catch them during their open hours, but holy cow, this place was amazing. They’re on the ground floor of an apartment building, in a little neighborhood right off Nishishinjuku station. It’s so cute on the outside and scrupulously clean with lovey decor on the inside (and they were playing The Beatles in the background). We visited for dinner and got the sashimi special (1.5 serving size) and the homemade smoked cheese. I would import that cheese back to the US by the pound, easily the best cheese I’ve ever had. We got amazing sashimi, cheese, and two beers for ~$25 USD (the food itself was only about $15). Everyone there was extremely patient and kind with us working out our order in our very limited Japanese, and worked hard to answer our questions as best as we could. We were embarrassed at how long it took for us to understand their basic questions (“are you done eating this?” Etc) but they NEVER seemed annoyed with us. We’re so grateful for the amazing food and service! If you go here, GET THE SMOKED CHEESE!!!
Cosy Restaurant tucked away amongst the tight alleys of houses. Food and service was impeccable, prices were very reasonable. Came with friends and our 3 children. Highly recommend the Sashimi and fried shrimp, but it was all delicious.
