A highlight in Ikebukuro. This is a tree house / old wood house (?) izakaya located in Ikebukuro. We visited the place for a Saturday dinner without reservation towards 9 pm (?). We could get a table on one of the elevated spaces (?). I do not know if this is the right way to describe :) it is like a second floor, which you climb from a steep ladder and you can see downstairs. Table charge includes delicious bread with some salami. More bread can be requested for free. We got 3 beers, fried rice, salmon and chicken and paid around ~6000-6500 yen for 2 people. Food was delicious, especially the fried rice and fish. The atmosphere was quite nice. I definitely recommend this place to anyone, but especially to friend groups. Though, if you go there too crowded (more then 3-4 people), I don’t think you can get a second floor place. On the first floor, there are more private room like places (they can seen from windows from the second floor). More crowded friend groups sit there. Highly recommended.

It was my first time going there, and the food was delicious and there was a lot of craft beer, so it was great to be able to try something I wouldn't normally drink! The old folk house had a great atmosphere too! The clerk was so funny😂 I will use it again!

The order is centered on the recommendations of the shops that the staff gave us a lecture on. salmon dome carpaccio Salmon is served in a dome shape and is cute! Plenty of marinated onion slices inside! It was refreshing and perfect for the first dish ♪ Fluffy grilled yam The staff will grill this for you at your table. When it was baked, it was even served beautifully! The texture of fluffy yam is also good, but... It's delicious with exquisite taste! It's the one that goes on with alcohol ~! Meat Ajillo It was chicken and gizzard ajillo. Ahijo of meat is rare! A baguette is included in the set, so if you dip it in the oil and eat it, it's delicious♪ Lando's Tongue Stew It's the shop's proud tongue stew. The soft, simmered tongue was delicious! There was also a bucket here, and I was able to soak it. Tongue stew that has been simmered to a simmer is luxurious, isn't it? grilled mushrooms This was also a dish made at the table. Mushrooms piled high on the iron plate! Plenty of butter on top! I'm going to entwine it slowly and bake it. When it was baked, the staff even took care of it for me. The synergistic effect of the umami of mushrooms and the umami of butter! french fries Order French fries as a refreshment. Beef Tendon Tamagoyaki There was plenty of beef tendon in the tamagoyaki. The more I chewed, the more the flavor of the beef tendon came out, and it was delicious! All the dishes were delicious, of course... The staff was very attentive and made the meal enjoyable. The loft seats really felt like a hideaway and seemed to be convenient for dating ♪
