Excellent high-end Ginza sushi place. Tokami seems to have connections to a tuna merchant at the Toyosu fish market, so expect top-notch tuna nigiri. We had the 22k lunch omakase, and this was impeccable. Some English is spoken, and reservations are relatively easy to get online. Definitely recommend it to anyone looking for authentic sushi.

I visited this sushi-ya for the omakase menu from sushi master Shota Oda three years ago and, no exaggeration, it changed my life. I've been to many Michelin-starred restaurants before, but this blew them all out the water. Every single morsel of food, from the warm consommé-style fish dishes to the nigiri to the crème brûlée-style tamagoyaki, was indescribably delicious. I experienced tastes, textures and smells that I never had before. Watching Shota Oda prepare each dish was like watching a dance performance, his hands lightly and swiftly darting around the ingredients. His somewhat unique style of adding red vinegar to the rice just elevated the nigiri even further than I thought would be possible. 20+ courses later, I was beyond stuffed, but it was worth every single penny. I repeatedly call it my spiritual experience. I hope one day to return.
