Shinjuku City, Tokyo, Japan｜Sushi Watanabe (Arakicho)

A cozy little restaurant that serves excellent sushi. Chef Watanabe is very meticulous and friendly. He serves many sushi dishes that are not as commonly served in other sushi restaurants. It also has a good selection of sakes and they did great pairing of sakes with the dishes served.

We would have never found this or make the reservation ourselves... But luckily, my best friend lives in the neighborhood and made the reservation for an amazing dinner! Everything was flavorful, fresh and the textures were amazing!! They only have about 8 seats, so if you can get in, you’ll be sitting at the counter watching chef working his magic! (And chef speaks very good English, too!) Sake selection was also incredible, you can simply tell him what you prefer, and they will have something for you! Or, if you’d like to have wine, bubbles, Shochu or beers... They’ve got it all :)

Best sushi I've ever had, and the most expensive. They require reservations and have no menu, you will be served a lot of different fish.
