I had a great meal here at Ootoya; it was a sizzling dish, very generous portions, served with a big bowl of rice, miso soup, pickles and a lemon wedge. At the table were gomashio, shichimi, soy sauce and a sauce I didn't recognize. The cover came off the bowl and it was truly SIZZLING! It was breaded chicken with grated daikon radish topping, some carrots, mushrooms and renkon (lotus root). Everything was delicious. For dessert I had the orange-flavored chocolate parfait. It was delicious- chocolate ice cream, brownie cubes, whipped cream, and crunchy chips like corn flakes. The coffee was dispensed at the "drinks bar" freshly brewed. The whole experience exceeded my expectations. It's a pretty busy restaurant favored by young people. Photos of menu page and what I got.

I used it for the first time today. I ordered the Ootoya set meal (1000 yen) using a tablet. We added a large serving of mixed grain rice, barley miso soup, and egg yolk as options (+200 yen). The first water is served, but refills and tea are self-service. The store is clean, and although it's near Mejiro Station, it's not very crowded. I still want to use it.

It is near Mejiro station. I usually stop by when I want to eat grilled fish or Japanese food. Also, there is raw (Asahi Super Dry) so you can drink a little. Order by touch panel operation. You can choose to have the beer first or with the food. You can also take out. However, since the store is small, you will have to stand next to the cash register and wait, even when it is crowded.
