Kawaguchi, Saitama, Japan｜Matsuya

Matsuya was the only place I ate at consistently while in Japan. Their menu is in English and they have a website which lists the allergens in each of their items, which was extremely convenient. It was the only place I really felt had a consideration for English-speakers. The service was top-notch and the food was consistently great not only at the Kawaguchi location, but in the various Matsuya eateries I visited all over Tokyo and Osaka. Definitely recommended.

Matsuya's breakfast set meal, refreshing rice that blends well with the soup, miso soup with wakame and fried tofu, and a solid breakfast of raw eggs on a mini beef plate for 290 yen. A little bit of beef bowl topped with red ginger and shichimi chili pepper. Miso soup is also delicious ~. There were too many side dishes when the rice was small. The spacious counter was unexpectedly comfortable, and I felt safe even with a lot of luggage. Thank you for the happy breakfast.

It is right after getting off from the east exit of Kawaguchi Station. I used it around 13:30 on weekdays, but it wasn't so crowded, so the food came out without waiting too long. There are only counter seats and no table seats. Since it is a self-service shop, you will clean up the dishes yourself.
