Hands down the best 鴨せいろ I’ve had. The handmade soba was al dente with that beautiful earthy nuttiness. And the duck broth was smokey and so moreishly delicious. Dinner at @kermistokyo the other week, we met the most lovely couple. The wife introduced us to this soba place where she works one day a week. The soba chef is a woman, which is quite rare in the soba world. Her husband was running the place and after he passed, she wanted to keep the place running so she learnt how to make soba and carried on the torch. This is definitely this month’s #bestnewfind. The かき揚げ is also a must have. The batter was so light and crispy and the corn was so sweet!

You can enjoy a drink in a relaxed atmosphere. The soba noodles are a little rustic. Personally, I prefer thinner noodles, but the soba had a strong aroma and was delicious.
