On Thursday, October 5, 2023, I visited Okinawan Wachidokoro Kujin for lunch. This is an izakaya where you can enjoy Okinawan home cooking. The store has counter seats and table seats, and is compact and clean. When I visited, most of the customers were men. Okinawan songs were playing inside the store. You get to the counter and the cold water is self-service. The owner was a woman and had good customer service. Thursday's lunch menu is Okinawa Soba or Cartilage Soki Soba, which varies depending on the day. I ate cartilage soki soba for lunch. It was 880 yen including tax. Ingredients include soki, minced fish, and green onions, and pickled ginger is added as a condiment. The more you bite into Soki, the more flavorful it becomes, and the more the fibers of the meat melt in your mouth. The fatty part is creamy and flavorful, and the sweet and spicy seasoning is also good. The flavor and taste of the minced fish is good, and the chewy texture is also good. The noodles are curly, flat noodles with a chewy and smooth texture, have a good flavor, and break easily when you put your teeth into them. The soup is light, but has good seasoning and a good stock. It was delicious.

With Okinawan music playing inside the store, you will forget that you are in Omiya, which is full of people.
