Everything was so delicious and made with so much love and care. Even the rice was perfection. I am so happy we waited in line for this restaurant because it has proved to be one of the best meals that I have had in Tokyo (and perhaps, my life)—and we have gone to so many high-end and expensive restaurants in this city, but nothing compares to comfort food that is made with such soul and subtlety.

Great spot for a cozy lunch, but recommend getting seated between 11am-11:30am on weekdays to avoid waiting in line. Menu is very foreigner and solo traveler friendly.

Amazing find, literally walked into a random restaurant and found this lovely gem. A pretty popular local spot for an obvious reason; the food is superb and prices are reasonable. The cozy and rustic ambiance combined with the incredible food made this restaurant one of my favourites :). Highly recommend the eel, it completely blew me away.
