Very nice tempura restaurant in old section of Tokyo. It is situated right by the Sumie’s River and whole area reminds me of Edo era of Tokyo. Tempura were fried right in front of you and you eat them literally seconds after they are fried. Delish!! At the beginning and at the end, they take you to a different room from the dining room where you can see the River. I highly recommend trying an authentic tempura place like this if you are visiting Tokyo. There is another Daikokuya kind of near this one that is famous for their tendon. Don’t get confused.

An authentic Japanese family restaurant Very homey with great service The steam egg was very good, BBQ eels well seasoned and delicious, the rice that come with the set was soft and hot. Tempura dishes were a little over cooked and oily but taste ok

Great meal, loved the culture and feel of the space, the food and the service. The discipline for the craft was amazing to watch. Very reasonably priced when you take the whole experience into consideration. My only wish was that I’d made the effort to have more meals like this and if this quality while in Japan. Loved it…!!!!
