While doing some sight seeing, we decided to get something to eat and we came upon Katsudon Tenkaboshi. The restaurant is small in size but the flavors of the food are what made this place phenomenal. It was great to watch our food being prepared and have the opportunity to savor it right after it was prepared. The service is good, the food is great, and we managed to communicate briefly with the gentleman who prepared our food. What a great treat!! Worth the time to visit and enjoy a meal there!

I had the thick-sliced ​​katsudon. The meat is quite thick but surprisingly soft and easy to chew. When you take a bite, your mouth will be filled with savory and sweet meat juices. I didn't feel the smell or greasyness of the meat, and I thought it was very good quality. The gentle taste of the soup stock and the rich flavor of the beaten egg, the batter and onions that fully absorbed them, the rice that wrapped everything up, everything was wonderful and delicious beyond words. I had an image that katsudon is heavy, but this katsudon was delicious until the end without feeling heavy. When I visited, an old lady with white hair was also eating a delicious thick-sliced ​​katsudon. The accompanying miso soup, kinpira burdock, and pickles were completely untouched, and it was a blissful lunch time. I arrived 10 minutes before opening on a holiday, but there were already about 6 people in line. It is so popular that it fills up quickly after it opens, and people line up outside the store. Well, if you can eat this delicious katsudon, I'm convinced. The turnover rate is not good because it takes time to cook. If you don't want to wait in line, it's best to go early.
