Taito City, Tokyo, Japan｜Tonkatsu Nakane

We were a group of 6 from New Zealand. We ordered the Fillet Katsu Set meal. The place has 2 tables and a bar that sits about 4 people. The table sits 4 people each. The owners were very friendly and attentive, the lady came to check on our tables refilling our tea and taking away finished places etc. They had English menu. The food was very nice. The meat was thick and juicy, not overcooked. We all left happy and full.

I went there for the first time because I had been curious about it for a long time. I ate cutlet curry. The curry was a little sweet, but it was rich and the cutlet curry was delicious. The tonkatsu itself was to my liking with its batter, moderate amount of fat, and moderate thickness. Next time I would like to go again for the tonkatsu.

In addition to tonkatsu, the menu also includes sashimi and sushi. Everything is delicious and I am impressed every time I go!
