It is in a small, quiet, and inconspicuous alley. When you enter, it is very unpretentious but has a little pursuit. I sat alone in front of the bar, drinking a small drink and watching the chef prepare the dishes, and occasionally chatting briefly, which was quite interesting. Because I didn’t understand, I ordered Set A and a glass of sake of the day, and it felt like a ritual to wait for the delicious dishes to be served slowly. The main dish is fried pork cutlet, which tastes great and melts in your mouth. The three-flavored stew is also quite good. The chef said it takes four hours to make this dish. Because I am a tourist, I am not particularly sensitive to prices and have no say.

I could watch the chef work for hours. He takes such great care in the preparation of the dishes. I was lucky to obtain entry (reservation is preferred and appears to be made predominantly via phone - I couldn't find a reservation section on the website). I recommend knowing some Japanese, but the menu does have English. I recommend selecting a course for your first time so you can experience the variety available. Although the cutlet is the star dish, there are many other delicious items on the menu. Overall I had a wonderful experience and strongly recommend.

MARCH 2023 Amazing tonkatsu restaurant, nice to get a counter seat and watch the chef prepare and deep fry the katsu dishes. They have ala carte and set course menu. Panko crumb is one of the best, perfectly coated and flaky. The shabu shabu pork katsu was especially delicious and goes well with the ponzu sauce with grated radish.
