Matsumoto, Nagano, Japan｜Okina-do — Classic Western Style Dinner

Very delicious yoshoku with a very cute retro interior and good service. I really liked the Japanese Style Spaghetti Carbonara, the pasta was cooked perfectly and the flavours were great. Highly recommended dinner spot in Matsumoto, it's quite close to the castle and nearby shrine as well. The only downside was that there was only 1 small toilet and we always had to wait for someone to leave. I think a big restaurant like this needs at least 1 more toilet.

Super good curry rice! And the setting of the restaurant is very retro, feels unique to dine in such an old school western restaurant. This is a gem in Matsumoto. Go early or prepare to queue.

I visited here with my family on a Saturday afternoon. It was a bit of a long wait to enter the restaurant, but it was worth it! The salad tasted incredibly fresh. The omurice was the highlight of my visit! The omelet was silky, warm, and flavorful! It was extremely delicious, and it made me wish that I could revisit this place. We also sat on the second floor nearby a window overlooking the beautiful view.
