Cozy traditional Japanese dining experience with delicious food. Everything from the smoked mackerel to the hotpot and yuzu drinks were fantastic! Our favourite parts of the meal were the soup and noodles (shiro + wagyu fat noodles). Staff was friendly and tried their best to communicate in English with us. Overall 10/10 for food, service and decor. Thank you for the meal!

Really nice izakaya food and hot pot. It was my first time eating hormone and I actually really liked it! The restaurant is quite small but has a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. There is an all you can eat and drink option too!

This is a great little izakaya in the Pontocho area of Kyoto. There is a raised platform where you are seated but you leave your shoes on the ground. There are tatami mats and cushions for you to sit around a low table...traditional Japanese way of seating. The food is great and the service is friendly. Although they have your common izakaya selections, there are a few items that you may not see at others. I would high recommend this place.
