Kyoto, Japan｜Sumochaya NAGOMI

We stayed over the road for 4 nights and used this restaurant twice. The owner's an ex sumo wrestler and the portion sizes are the size you'd expect. My son ate an enormous plate of chanko nabe. Also do western dishes with fries etc. Nagomi was a nice find.

The chanko nabe was delicious! One of the best meals we had while on our honeymoon! And the owner/chef/rikishi was really nice.

If you like Belgium trappist or speciality beers they have a great selection. This is a cosy place to chill in the evening and enjoy a good beer.
