More Comments at Google MapSince I visited in July, it was only open for lunch. Night water showers will start from October. This time, I received the Kimadon for 1,700 yen. The combination of sweet and spicy sauce, egg yolk, and fluffy liver is exquisite. I also enjoyed the taste of Harryokaku powdered sansho pepper and black shichimi, and I was able to get 200g of rice, which I usually only get around 120g. When I asked for the amount of rice when ordering, I was immediately told that it was 200g, so I thought it was a lot, so I asked if I could have less rice, and was told that if I wanted less rice, it would be served separately. Of course, 200g can be served separately, but I wanted to eat it in a bowl, so I decided to take the plunge, but it turned out to be a waste of time considering how delicious it was. The set comes with oboro tofu, pickled vegetables, and soup. This soup is made with water and is absolutely delicious. It makes me want to come again at night. The store had a nice atmosphere and the service was very professional. The only thing that bothered me was that the koi in the pond in the courtyard were too big for the pond. I wonder if I'm not getting enough exercise. The lunch hours are from 11:00 to 14:00.
I think the lunch oyakodon was 1500 yen, it was amazing! What's best is not only the taste of Oyakodon but also the indescribably calm atmosphere of Gion in the early afternoon. Is it a Japanese house typical of Kyoto? Even foreigners like the old but sophisticated cityscape! Kyoto. Even as a Japanese person, I can't help but feel that it's wonderful. And this shop, located in a so-called alley, has a great atmosphere, and I already gave it 5 stars before I even entered the shop. I ordered a beer and had a light drink while eating Oyakodon and enjoying a grown-up lunch. It will be more fun if you come with your loved ones.
It was the most delicious oyakodon I've ever eaten. The cost performance and atmosphere were great. I visited for lunch around 1pm on a weekday, and it was pretty empty. The menu includes oyakodon and liverdon, each priced at 1,500 yen. I ordered oyakodon. For rice bowls, you can have the rice and toppings separated. You can also get minced meat with spicy Japanese pepper as a set. The tofu that comes with it is smooth and delicious on its own without any seasoning. The chicken soup was a mizutaki soup seasoned with ginger, and it was also the most delicious I've ever had in my life. Needless to say, the oyakodon bowl was completely devoured by the rich soup stock and plump chicken. I don't think you can find this kind of quality for 1,500 yen in an elegant restaurant in Gion. I heard that mizutaki is available from October to the end of April, so I would definitely like to visit again.
