My friend and I came here after cycling dozens of kilometers from Uji and loved it! There are gashapon machines, self-service cotton candy machines, local specialties, and octopus balls, which are very Japanese!

Local restaurant at Kasagi in Kyoto pref. Specialty is fried shrimp. Credit card is available.

In the intense heat of July, I searched for a restaurant in a sweat while touring on a motorcycle, and finally arrived at this restaurant. Although the inside and outside of the store is a little old-fashioned, the air conditioning and BGM are comfortable, and the staff's attitude is good. The menu is easy to read, and the prices are reasonable despite being in the mountains. I ordered oyakodon and soba noodles, and excitedly looked at the posters on the wall to see what kind of dishes would be served. Soba and oyakodon arrived in less than 15 minutes, probably because there were no customers other than us at this time. The soba and oyakodon were so delicious that I forgot that I was sweating, perhaps because I was sweating so hard inside my helmet, or because the scenery outside the window was so good, or because the staff were so affable. The soba noodles have a chewy texture, and the slightly sweet sauce is topped with a little wasabi and a quail egg. The oyakodon is so glossy that the eggs reflect all the light from the window, and the green onions are crispy. The pork cutlet that was hidden underneath was also fried just right, and since I've written so far, it goes without saying that it's white rice. With this, both items are a little over 1000 yen? It's funny, I feel like I've been haunted by a fox, and it's worth eating at 1800 yen. It was a famous restaurant like an oasis standing quietly in the desert. thank you. The parking space is large and there are quite a few cars that can be parked. If you're passing by, don't miss it.
