I went to eat on July 22, 2023. This is Shinpuku Saikan's 4th store. During the Gion Festival and the fall foliage season in late November, hotel room rates exceed 30,000 yen per night, so they evacuate to Otsu to save money. I feel like I go to the Otsukyo branch to eat at that time. It's located in front of Otsukyo Station, so you can take the Keihan train from the nearest station to the hotel (Biwakohama-Otsu Station). The taste of the Chinese noodles was a little lighter in soy sauce than the main store, and it was very easy to eat. Like Daiichi Asahi, Shinpuku Saikan's soy sauce is a little too strong. I always order the diluted soup at Daiichi Asahi because the soy sauce is too strong for the dashi stock. Shinpuku Saikan is a little better, but it's still delicious if it's thinner. I bought fried chicken as a souvenir and took it home.
