Kusatsu, Shiga, Japan｜Kurao Pork

Restaurant is owned and operated by the farm owner, allowing the meat to be delivered directly from the farm, which is nearby. Their pork is definitely fresh and definitely delicious. All the staff were kind and supportive too - they came by to check multiple times, asking if everything was going okay or if more drinks and/or condiments were needed. The condiments and sauces were also all very top notch, coming from the best locations for each (e.g. salt was from Kochi prefecture). I recommend starting with just a salt on the boiled pork. There is no need to hide any odd flavors with a strong flavored sauce, because the pork is so fresh. They had six different flavors to try - I liked just salt or sesame. The tea flavored ice cream was also an excellent touch at the end.

Amazing service, great flavour! Convenient walk from Kusatsu Station and aesthetic of the restaurant was so appealing! Had the pork shabu shabu set and it is just sooooo good! Will definitely come back again :)

I wanted to eat shabu-shabu, so I searched online and found it. It's a new shop!? It's a beautiful building The fully private room where you can relax is air-conditioned and comfortable! I had a course with Omi beef, but both pork and beef are easy to eat, and there are plenty of condiments so you won't get tired of it, so you can eat it with Nambo! The ramen of 〆 was also very delicious. If you make a reservation by the day before, you can order a course with an appetizer, so next time I would like to have an appetizer ☆
