Osaka, Japan｜Fujiya

Had some delicious udon here on our last day in Japan! We ordered the oyakodon, curry udon and normal udon. The oyakodon was flavourful, and the fluffy eggs were so orange and beautiful! Chicken was tender and juicy, and the rice was just right. I simply could not put the bowl down. The curry udon had a balanced mix of spices with beef and onion bits inside. The normal udon had a hearty broth that was easy to drink and felt like a warm hug. The house made udon noodles were so chewy and bouncy! Not a taste you can find elsewhere. Will definitely pay a repeat visit to Fujiya the next time i’m in Osaka! I’d gladly sit the train from Namba to indulge in another meal here. Highly recommend the curry udon and oyakodon! Tucked away in a corner of Nagai, this shop is affordably priced and filled with locals (a good sign!) note - we came when they opened at 11am and a queue formed soon so come early! don’t think there is an english menu but google translate should suffice :)

we ordered the oyakodon, curry udon and the regular udon! the food was really delicious and affordable, and the service staff were friendly and kind. they also let us leave our luggages near the entrance! authentic and yummy :-)
