One of the best examples of nishin (herring) soba I've had to date. Friendly staff and spacious dining room. Close to the station. Good variety of other dishes on the menus also. Highly recommend.

What do you call light-colored soba? I enjoyed the soba noodles, which were different from the rough gray color that I often see. At the cash register is a strong-willed old lady who seems to be the landlady. I thought that this person was probably the one who was angry at the store clerk who often appears in reviews (lol) Combined with the retro feel of the store, it gives off a nice Showa era atmosphere. I went there on a weekday at noon, and the restaurant was nearly full, giving me the feeling that it was loved by locals. There seems to be a wide variety of set meals on the menu, and many people seem to be ordering them.
