Kawachinagano, Osaka, Japan｜Kiichi

I have been visiting kiichi since 2015, and it is a must stop every time we visit Osaka. Just 30 min train ride from Namba station this resturant is a must visit. The chef personally curates evey dish using regional and seasonal ingredients. The omakase usually starts with in house made tofu in delicious dashi. The dashi which is what the resturant is known for is deep and flavourful. This is followed by numerous Japanese starters, fresh sashimi (the sea urchin tasted like pure butter), char grilled fish (the fish literally melted as it touched my tongue), grilled wagyu beef, regional steamed vegetables, rice cooked with seasonal herbs and lastly desert. Every dish is an experience for your palette and everytime I visit I get treated to tastes that I have never experienced before. Although the staff speaker limited English. The food speaks for itself. This is a must visit. Worth every yen.

The service was great. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Food presentation was perfect. Each piece is carefully prepared with intricate texture and taste. Highly recommend to anyone interested in Kaiseki ryori.

We ordered their 8-course set dinner and every dish was a delight, both in terms of the presentation and taste. The price is on the higher side but for the quality and quantity you get, it's worth every yen.
