Restaurant: the machine was easy to use and in English. I was one of the last ones there and the food came out quickly. It was an interesting experience, I got to experiment with the spices and eat everything with chopsticks. One hiccup was I did asked a server if I could charge my phone, and even though I saw outlets in some of the service areas, she said no, but overall it was really nice. I'm pescatarian and they said my meal had no meat products, so that was good. Would go back again.

Affordable and delicious! Yayoi is unanimously our favorite place to eat in Kitahama! This branch has vending machine for ordering and can accommodate a big group of customers, maybe even up to 100 guests. Their rice meals comes with free self-service rice refill and a beverage and condiments area is stationed on one side for guests to personally get their fill. Their teishoku sets are good value for money, not to mention, a nicely balanced meal. If you must definitely try something worth sharing with the group, order a large portion of Beek Sukiyaki Teishoku. It was recommended to us by a local customer at Yayoi and it definitely did not disappoint.

I think it’s really good! I’m so happy that they have the soy meat options on the menu. I hope they will remain permanently.
